Becoming board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics is a step that only one in three orthodontists takes. Orthodontists must demonstrate their orthodontic knowledge, clinical skills and judgement to achieve board certification. Successful completion of the certification signifies an orthodontist’s commitment to excellence in their field. It shows that the orthodontist is committed to staying atop the latest in orthodontic advancements in patient care and striving to ensure patients receive exceptional care using these advancements.
